You want a reliable ride that can handle all your camping trips to Lake Michigan. The Tucson comes with a 2.5L 4-cylinder engine that produces 187 horsepower. This pairs with an 8-speed automatic transmission and either front- or HTRAC all-wheel drive. Another optional powertrain is a 1.6L 4-cylinder that’s used for the hybrid and plug-in hybrid models. This combination results in 226 horsepower and excellent fuel economy. All-wheel drive and a 6-speed automatic transmission are standard for the hybrid models.
Both the hybrid options and the gasoline-powered engine offer plenty of consistent power for daily driving and passing or merging on the highway. The Tucson also has capable, confident handling and nicely weighted steering. It’s also highly maneuverable for navigating city streets and crowded parking lots.
The Tucson interior has a modern, stylish design with plenty of room for passengers. The cabin is decked out in luxury materials and features, such as a digital gauge display and a push-button shifter. Passengers can enjoy ample headroom and legroom for long-distance comfort.
In the cargo hold, the Tucson has 38.7 cubic feet of storage space, giving you an abundance of room for sports equipment, camping gear, and luggage. You’ll find cubbies, pockets, and bins inside the cabin for passengers to store their small belongings, such as cell phones and keys.
