Michigan Summer Beer Festival

The oldest of the Michigan Brewers Guild’s annual festivals, the Summer Beer Festival takes place at the Ypsilanti’s Riverside Park in historic Depot Town.

Whether you are a craft beer aficionado or new to the world of craft beer, the Michigan Summer Beer Festival has something worthy of all palates! There will be over 1,000 beers being poured from about 150 Michigan breweries.

This means whatever type of beer you like you will find something worthy of getting a second pour. Among the beers at the festival, you will find a variety of styles from IPAs, to light and refreshing blonde ales, to tart and tasty sours. You may even be able to find your new favorite style, brewery, or beer as you try all the different samples.

Throughout the day, you can also enjoy the live music performed by local bands as you sample your way through the different beers!

St. John’s Applefest

Pie Festival

As the name suggests, this festival will revolve around delicious and crisp apples! At St. John’s Applefest, you will find all things apples including apple dumplings, apple cider, frozen apple cider, and apple crisp. There will also be the classic apple pie for you too, with each one baked fresh and made with apples from local orchards.

There are also plenty of events, games, and activities for the whole family to enjoy. Ride some of the thrilling carnival rides that Skerbek Family Carnival brings to the festival. There is also a road race you can enter in that has different distances, from a kid’s quarter-mile race to a 10K run.

Each night you can also come out to enjoy live music within the Entertainment Tent. Also, if your apple pie is a hit every year during the holidays, be sure to enter in the Apple Pie Contest with your secret recipe to see if it is truly the best!
