How They’re Funding Change in the Community

By connecting the community and creating a system of financial and emotional support, they’re able to assist those in need throughout the community and level the playing field. One way they do that is through discretionary funding which is funneled into several programs:

• The Basic Needs Fund provides community members with basic necessities.
• The Financial Stability Fund helps to increase financial capability in low-income individuals by providing financing assistance to the appropriate agency programs.
• The Opportunity Fund focuses on present and emergent community needs through projects.
• The Strategic Planning Fund finances the planning efforts for future human service projects and organizations.

Their offerings don’t stop there, though. They also work hands-on with volunteers and community members to restore buildings and public areas. Additionally, they offer program operations grants and capacity building grants to further support restoration and betterment projects.
