Meet the Team

Grace Behavioral Health of Michigan New Hudson Feldman HyundaiKatrina M. (Lorenz) Milliken is a kind and caring individual who has been practicing Child and Family therapy since 2009. She began her professional career with Community Mental Health through both home-based and office-based treatment. After being awarded her Parent Management Training certification, she turned her efforts towards trauma-informed treatment. In addition to having been a public school social worker, mental health specialist for five years, and working with adults in the outpatient services for seven years, Katrina is also a recent ovarian cancer survivor who understands first-hand the difficulties and obstacles life can create for people.

With a resilient nature, calm, understanding demeanor, and welcoming and professional work ethic, Katrina makes sure to provide all her clients with a safe and comfortable space, with a customized focus on every individual’s or group’s desires and needs. Another member of the team is Max da Dog, a future family therapy dog that’ll be available for patients to pet and feel at ease.

Services Provided

Grace Behavioral Health of Michigan New Hudson Feldman Hyundai

Every problem may require different kinds of therapy and approaches. With this in mind, Grace Behavioral Health is able to provide different services based on patients’ different needs. The services primarily target depression and anxiety, trauma and PTSD, and interpersonal and family relationships, and include programs like:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy: A common therapeutic practice that focuses on forging connections between feelings and behaviors in order to understand and make changes that can lessen depression and anxiety.

  • Interpersonal Therapy: A type of therapy that can help to identify areas where growth in relationships needs to be made.

  • Trauma Treatment: By working through therapy sessions, patients are able to process, make meaning, and lessen the impact of traumatic events.

  • Teen-Specific Treatment: Sometimes the volatile time of being a teenager can present challenges. Luckily, Katrina has many years of working with teenagers due to her specialization in child and family therapy as well as her career as a social worker.

  • Parent & Guardian Support: Being a parent is no easy task. In fact, many people will often say that being a parent is the hardest job in the world, and sometimes parents/guardians need outside guidance to better facilitate their parenting or even just the reassurance that they’re on the right track. Therapy to address the challenges of parenting can better foster communication and decision-making to better improve family issues.

  • Communication Workshops: These workshops are periodic, and often focus on parent/guardian relationships with children and teens.
